Honest answers
Questions promoters and technical teams actually ask.
12 questions — open the deck
-
Is this an indoor or outdoor venue?
Open-air, but the stage and FOH are under a 30 × 19 m engineered roof — ridge 9.10 m, eaves 7.45 m, 3 m+ overhangs all four sides. Audience area is uncovered. The roof is rated for tropical wind and rain; the audience plan should include a wet-weather contingency for ticket-holders.
-
Can we bring our own FOH engineer or lighting designer?
Yes — but they work on our consoles and our system. We do not allow third-party PAs or moving lights to be stacked over the rented rig. Visiting tour engineers regularly drive the CL5 and grandMA3 with our local team supporting; we will move file formats to whatever the touring console expects.
-
What's the maximum permitted noise level?
Subject to the local Kathu ordinance — typically <105 dBA at 25 m for outdoor events with the relevant variance. Our FOH engineer ensures compliance with whatever variance the client's permit specifies. We can advise on the variance application during the booking process.
-
What's the curfew?
Standard 02:00 with the variance most international acts pull on Phuket. Extending past 02:00 is paid by the hour ($1,500/h) and requires the variance to be filed in advance.
-
What's the hard cap on attendance?
3,500 — that's the permitted, crowd-flow-tested maximum across VIP (200) + Fanzone (500) + General Admission (2,800). The site is engineered around that number; we don't sell past it.
-
Do you handle artist permits and withholding tax?
Stage rental does not include artist permits or WHT — those are the client's responsibility, but we operate the legal layer of every show in Thailand and we handle this end-to-end as a separate scope. See /lp/legal-thailand.
-
Can we use our own ticketing platform?
Megatix + Redtix are our exclusive platforms for bookings made through Redtix Stage. They are operationally integrated with our access control and reporting. If you have a strict in-house platform requirement, we can talk through it on the brief — there are scenarios where we adapt.
-
Is there power backup if the primary genset fails?
Yes — 2× 200 KVA gensets with auto-transfer switch. Failover is automatic and audience-imperceptible. Fuel is monitored throughout the production period by our on-site electrical tech.
-
Can we record or broadcast the show?
Yes — recording / broadcast scope is a $5,000 add-on. We provide the multi-track feed and the live switched feed; uplink, post, and rights clearance are the client's scope.
-
What if it rains?
The stage and crew operate. The audience area is uncovered, so heavy rain is a client-side ticketing-and-comms decision. The roof is rated; the show goes on unless lightning forces a temporary stop.
-
How early can we load in?
Standard load-in starts day-of. For shows with heavy custom build (extra LED, pyro, complex set), we open the venue the day before for an additional crew day at cost. Confirmed at booking.
-
Do multi-event bookings get a discount?
Yes — 3+ date bookings get a multi-event discount. Talk to us early; the larger the block, the better the maths.
