THE BRIEF
Bring Kavin Jay — the Malaysian stand-up seen on BBC, Netflix and Comedy Central — across the causeway for two Thai dates: Bangkok (16 Aug) and Pattaya (17 Aug). English-language comedy for an audience of expats, tourists and the regional comedy crowd. Artist side handled booking; we ran everything from production through the final bow.
WHAT WE DID
Production
Full advance and run-of-show for both rooms. Venue, sound, light, hospitality, transport and on-site team in each city. Hosted by KC King, with support from Tim Hughes (Bangkok only) and Deniz Turan.
Legal & licensing
Performer work permit and withholding-tax handling, plus venue and event clearances in Bangkok and Pattaya — two licensing regimes, no lost dates.
Marketing & ticketing
Phased on-sale on our own ticketing rails, multi-channel creative pointed at the English-speaking audience in each city, optimised daily to sell-out. Siam@Siam Design Hotels on hospitality; Cielo Sky Bar & Entertainment on the Bangkok room.
Result
OUTCOMES
- Both dates sold out — Bangkok (150) and Pattaya (150).
- Clean two-city delivery with full production, legal and ticketing run as one stack.
- More proof the SROAST end-to-end model carries international stand-up names into Thailand, not just concerts.
